About the Series:
Join Natalie Nayun for a new dance choreography workshop for Nowruz! Class will be geared towards intermediate/advanced dancers but adventurous beginners welcome. Class starts with a full-body warm-up, technique, then dancers are taught combinations that will build to a full choreography. Optional performance opportunities both online and possibly in-person (in the bay area dependent on dancer location)


Bio:⁠

Natalie has been dancing for more than 18 years, and has devoted her life to the study of dance from Tajikistan, Iran, & Uzbekistan. She has received grants & awards to study dance and conduct dance research in Uzbekistan & Tajikistan. Natalie is the Assistant Director of Ballet Afsaneh, Program director & teacher in the Afsaneh Dance Academy, and choreographer for Sorayya Dance Company out of UC Berkeley. Her hope is to share the beauty in these regions of the world through dance! ⁠
